About Us

BACKGROUND

Coopac was established in April 2001, with 110 members aiming to regenerate the coffee sector in the region of the Lake Kivu. 


The initial objectives were to take advantage of the excellent natural resources in our region and focus on producing the highest quality coffee for the gourmet market so as to gain higher returns for our collective efforts thereby increasing the well-being of all our farmers. 


COOPAC coffee prices has been steadily climbing in recognition of the quality improvements and in turn the well-being of its members has drastically improved through Fairtrade initiatives that guarantee farmers to get their fair share. 


We remain enthusiastic, passionate and committed to satisfying the most demanding lovers of coffee from all over the world. 


We aim to offer all rounded support to the communities where we operates, our social responsibility activities are well crafted to benefit the community wholly, including construction of schools, donation of cows and goats, agricultural materials, trainings as well as donations to small entrepreneurs coffee farmers.
